Beyond Borders, Beyond Business: A Recap of OVO & Einstein Rising's Uganda-Belgium Connection

On Saturday, June 15th, 2024, Einstein Rising, our local partner and OVO East Africa arm, hosted a successful networking event at their office in Muyenga, Uganda. 

The event brought together 10 alumni social enterprises in the sectors of Agriculture, Food Industry, and Recycling with members of the Belgian Club Uganda, a community of Belgians residing in Uganda who work in the NGO and private sectors.

The event provided a platform for these Ugandan impact-based businesses to showcase their ventures to the 60 Belgian members who were in attendance and have a keen interest in social entrepreneurship. The businesses displayed their services and products within a designated exhibition space, fostering valuable interactions with attendees.

This event wasn't just about business; it was about building connections. Attendees had the opportunity to network with Belgian professionals in Uganda, creating a space for potential partnerships, mentorship, and investment opportunities.

Overall, the event aimed to increase the visibility of our alumni enterprises within the Ugandan social business ecosystem and connect them with a community that shares their dedication to social good.
