Dear OVO community,
It's that time of year again to share with you OVO's impact in 2023.
In terms of fund mobilization, 2023 was a very fruitful year. We channeled nearly €1.3 million, raised through OVO, to African entrepreneurial projects.
Belgian companies donated nearly €700 000 to 21 NGO projects through OVO.
In addition, individuals and organizations invested around €432 000 in 18 African entrepreneurs through loans.
But of course, OVO is more than just fundraising. Impact is not only created by mobilising financial resources. Organising knowledge transfer, building partnerships, mentoring entrepreneurs - that too is OVO.
In 2023, more than 28 African entrepreneurs participated in our SusTech4Africa accelerator program where they were coached by some 90 OVO volunteers.
More than 20 Belgian students supported several African entrepreneurs in which OVO invested, on the ground with technical or business expertise.
We think this is a great result, hopefully you do too. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this, in any way.
