Local entrepreneurship is an engine for greater opportunity.
In April 2024, Rwanda will host the third edition of our Inspiration Tour as part of SusTech4Africa, a program, developed by Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs (OVO), to encourage scale-ups and entrepreneurs with African roots to build sustainable businesses.
With Sustainable Technology for Africa - SusTech4Africa for short - OVO stimulates sustainable entrepreneurship in Africa and helps selected projects optimize their business models and make them more sustainable.
Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present and work on their business project with a professor from Thomas More and a team of Belgian and Rwandan coaches coming for the occasion.
During the Boost camp, the participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their technical, business and leadership skills..
SusTech4Africa
OVO aims to support and promote sustainable entrepreneurship in Africa with the Sustainable Technology Accelerator Program for Africa (SusTech4Africa). SusTech4Africa helps startups, scale-ups and entrepreneurs with African roots to develop their project into a fullyfledged business plan. After a thorough selection process, 10 to 15 entrepreneurs participate in a multi-day Boostcamp with workshops on sustainable approach, finance, marketing and presentation skills. They are coached by (former) entrepreneurs and business experts.
In continuation of the Boostcamp, each participating company receives individual online coaching. The objective of the coaching sessions is for each project to develop a financial plan and business plan. OVO funds all projects that are profitable and meet a minimum set of conditions. The OVO funding is issued in the form of a loan to be repaid over 1 to 5 years. This financing, which varies between EUR 5,000 and EUR 50,000, is provided by some 40 business angels and by the OVO Acceleration Fund.
